Experientia conducted extensive user research across India, Indonesia and Chile to uncover the perceived barriers and pain points of Intel MeeGo’s netbook operating system.

3 things to know

  1. Experientia conducted extensive user research across India, Indonesia and Chile to uncover the perceived barriers and pain points of Intel MeeGo’s netbook operating system.

  2. We also captured detailed feedback through methods such as usability task explorations, participatory design sessions, and mystery shopping.

  3. Our findings and recommendations were illustrated through a report, the development of scenarios, and video ethnography clips.

A variety of qualitative research methods were used to discover people’s attitudes and behaviors towards Intel MeeGo. These include on-site contextual inquiries, shadowing participants and mystery shopping. We also captured detailed feedback from participants through usability task explorations and participatory design workshops.

Based on the research insights, we defined opportunity areas and UI improvements to be made to the next OS development. Our findings and recommendations were illustrated through a report, the development of scenarios and video ethnography clips. The insights from the project will inform Intel's future operating systems and the customer journey and user experience of their software.
