It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities. - H.P.

Danila is a UX researcher and designer with over 6 years of experience in Europe and the USA. Her PhD from Politecnico di Milano was focused on design scenarios and approaches and tools used for building futures within design processes.

She spent the last year of her PhD program as visiting researcher at the University of Houston, where she joined the Foresight Program group to analyze and define tools used in the overlapping area between design, service and strategy.

She worked for 6 years in BTS Design Innovation, where she was design researcher and project manager, leading projects with top brands in many sectors: FCA, Comau, Leroy Merlin, Samsung. She has managed projects and field research in Moldova, Turkey, Spain, Germany, Sweden and Mexico.

She has experience developing projects in the Industry 4.0 field, creating tools for conversation with workers and suppliers, and designing new scenarios for the factory of the future. She is also an experienced lecturer and workshop facilitator and has taught at the Politecnico di Milano School of Design and at the IED European Institute of Design.

She has published different works on design and scenarios and presented her work in conferences worldwide.

What's the most interesting thing about UX for you?

Thinking about people and working with them, observing their lifestyles and behaviors and spotting differences between countries and cultures.

What's your favorite book?

“Il cavaliere rampante” by Italo Calvino, where the main character looks for a radical overhaul of his perspective (and life) to be truly happy, although he has to give up many things.

What's your favorite foreign dish?

Tacos! I visited Mexico three times for different projects, and I absolutely felt in love with the local cuisine. But the tacos… exceed everything! You can fill them as you wish, eat them with your hands and they are an explosion of flavor!
