Adriana Rivas

Adriana Rivas completed her master’s in industrial design at the European Institute of Design, on industrial design for extreme sports. In 2007, she worked with Chicago studio Beyond Design Inc., and in 2008 volunteered at the “Changing the Change” seminar. Adriana’s work and portfolio are featured in the book “30 under 30”, by Idea Books, showcasing young, creative people in Turin. At Experientia, Adriana offers design support for various projects, ranging in themes from public transport to sustainability. Having swapped the Costa Rican coastline for Italy in 2005, she is enjoying settling into the “beautiful, baroque concrete jungle” that is Turin.

As an Industrial Designer, I have been devoted to design for almost 5 years. I am also passionate about ecology, material science and technology. I believe that these concepts go hand in hand; we designers should strive to persuade the user to live in a more sustainable “green” way.

Adriana’s work has been featured in the magazine Fuori Strada and in the book 30 under 30, by DORO Design, published in June 2010 by Idea Books.
